Welcome to clikblynk. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. We keep it simple.

1. information we collect

When you use clikblynk, we collect the following types of information:

• Account Information: Email address, display name, and your unique username.
• User Content: Photos, videos, text posts, direct messages (including cliks/whispers), and reactions you share.
• Device Permissions: To share moments, clikblynk requires access to your device's camera, microphone, and photo library. We only access these when you actively create a post or message.
• Usage Data: Basic analytics to help us improve the app.

2. visibility & how we use your information

We use the collected data strictly to operate the clikblynk app. We do not sell your personal data to third parties. Visibility of your content works as follows:

• Standard Posts & Chats: Visible only to the friends you explicitly add or message.
• Hall of Fame: If you choose to submit a post to the Hall of Fame and it is approved, that specific post becomes visible to the wider clikblynk community.

3. ephemeral content (the disappearing rules)

clikblynk is designed for the moment. Content doesn't last forever:

• Standard Content: Standard posts, reactions, and direct messages automatically expire and are permanently deleted 24 hours after being posted.
• Aura Posts: Special posts selected as "Aura" are retained and visible for 10 days before expiring.
• Whispers (View-Once Media): Photos or videos sent as whispers in chats self-destruct 10 seconds after they are opened by the recipient and cannot be viewed again.

Once expired, data is permanently deleted from our active database. We do not keep an archive of your past posts.

Exception: If content is reported by another user for violating our guidelines, we retain that specific content in a secure environment solely for review and moderation purposes.

4. account & data deletion

You own your data. You have the right to request the complete deletion of your account and all associated personal information at any time. You can do this by:

• Navigating to Settings > Delete Account within the app.
• Emailing us directly at privacy@clikblynk.com with the subject "Account Deletion".

Upon request, your account details, friends list, chat history, and any active posts will be wiped from our servers.

5. children's privacy

clikblynk is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we discover that a user is under 13, we will delete their account and data immediately.

6. third-party services

We use Google Firebase for database hosting, secure media storage, and authentication. You can read Google Firebase privacy policy here.
